    Cluster Food+i meet HyperBioCoat project

    The Cluster Food+i Association was set up in 2009; it is a not-for-profit association that manages the food industry cluster called “Cluster Food+i” in the Ebro Valley region (Spain), which is the largest vegetable producer in Spain.

    The food industry is the region’s key industrial activity in terms of number (it represents 45% of industry with 850 companies), in relation to its contribution to gross added value and in terms of employment.

    Know HyperBioCoat at Equiplast fair

    HyperBioCoat is a project which is to impart superior barrier properties to biodegradable packaging materials. This innovation will be carried out by combining the high-performance ORMOCER® concept with oligomeric hemicellulose feedstock.

    The result will have an impact on the demand of the packaging industry for biodegradable and bio-based packaging materials.

    Aitiip is presenting the project at the booth the entity has at Equiplast fair. The fair, which is part of the Barcelona Industry Week, has the participation of 226 direct exhibitors, which in 13,536 m2 net area, reflects the reactivation experienced by the sector since 2014 thanks to the good behavior of two large user industries (automotive and packaging).
